Sign Up to Be a Class Captain!

Class captains play an integral role at SMS, and volunteering for this position is a wonderful way to become involved in your child's class.  There are up to three class captains per teacher.

 Responsibilities include:

• Assisting with organized class events
• Providing such other assistance as your teacher requests
• Collecting monetary contributions from the class families and organizing teacher gifts, including gifts and other gestures during "Teacher Appreciation Week"
• Communicating information from your teacher and the PTA to the class families 

If you are interested in serving as a Class Captain, please submit a Class Captain Volunteer Form.  If more than three people volunteer for a particular class, a lottery will be held.  Those selected must attend a class captain orientation meeting on Friday, September 26.  Details to follow.
