2024-25 Welcome Letter: Mr. Mason
August 30, 2024
Hello SMS Students and Families, I would first like to say, “Welcome to the South Mountain Family” to our brand new SMS families and “Welcome back” to our returning families. I hope you are enjoying your summer and hopefully tried some new activities. I also hope that your child(ren) is excited, recharged, and ready to start a new school year at SMS. It is hard to believe that I am entering my sixth year as principal of SMS and I am excited about returning to school.
The first day of school for the students is Thursday, September 5, 2024. I have attached a link for the South Mountain parent handbook.
The handbook provides information about school safety, medical information, school hours, lunch, and other pertinent school information. I am also attaching a link for the morning lineup, afternoon pick-up locations, and bus information for SMS Big School and Annex. Please remember students in Grades K-2 must have adult supervision in the morning and afternoon.
Reminder for Big School parents. Please use the new main entrance located in the rear of the school next to the staff parking lot when entering the school and dropping off late students or items. The main office has been relocated.
